Ambassador Personnel is seeking an Production Maintenance Supervisor in the Tuscaloosa AL area. This is a direct hire opportunity with an established global company that offers excellent benefits, paid time off, holiday pay, and 401k.
The primary function of this role is to supervise daily operations and ensure hourly associates are provided the support needed to meet daily production goals and perform required preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily PM s are done on all molds.
- Assist in documenting all applicable procedures with work instructions and other documentation.
- Ensure all PM s are coordinated with production department to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Develop and maintain critical parts inventory and establish minimum safety stock levels..
- Train hourly team members to increase their depth of knowledge on tool repair and improvements.
- Ensure all required tools/equipment/supplies are in stock and ordered in a timely manner.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for tool maintenance and repair
- Meet KPI's for all Preventative Maintenance
- Work with tooling, process engineers, and department managers to improve tools performance.
- Experience in a Manufacturing tool room environment
- Experience handling of hazardous chemicals.
- Ability to problem solve, both individually and in group efforts.
Desired Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in tool making, equivalent apprenticeship or OJT.
- A minimum of three years experience in an automotive manufacturing supervisory/technician role.
