OVERVIEW:

The Logistics & Facilities Coordinator will assist the Logistics Manager in the coordination of the efficient and profitable operation of the heavy haul and shuttle trucks as well as managing the Yard Coordinators and janitorial staff for the Fargo facility. This individual will advise and make recommendations to the Logistics Manager with respect to the best interest of the trucks and schedules to achieve the most efficient operation. This individual will also advise and make recommendations with respect to the best interest of the Fargo Facilities, yard, and yard personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Logistics

  • Coordinates pickup and delivery of equipment/parts utilizing the fleet per the direction of the Logistics Manager.
  • Ensures loads for shuttle trucks are coordinated and product/equipment is moved in a safe and timely manner.
  • Ensures proper billing of customers
  • Works with the Logistics Manager to ensure DOT compliance of all assigned vehicles & drivers.
  • Completes all paperwork required for jobs, including all paperwork required by law.
  • Fill in for drivers/and or find drivers.
  • Load/unload equipment and attachments as needed in a safe manner.


Facilities

  • Leads, manages, and holds all direct reports accountable and responsible to oversee the various functions within the yard, including maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment displays
  • Ensures yard is well maintained and machinery is placed properly for showcasing to the public
  • Leads, trains, motivates, and monitors the performance of yard personnel and janitorial staff
  • Makes recommendations to Logistics Manager to ensure staffing levels are adequate
  • Holds Level 10 meetings with all direct reports and attends Management Level 10 Meeting
  • Develops maintenance policies and procedures that ensures the optimal function of buildings, grounds, and associated fixed assets
  • Works with the Logistics Manager to develop a plan for budgeting long term repairs, improvements, and overall performance of the building and grounds
  • Manages all building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management
  • Troubleshoots, assesses, and resolves problems within the buildings as they arise
  • Ensures facilities maintenance work follows safety standards, conforms to specifications, and that work orders are tracked and completed within the budgeted guidelines
  • May oversee contractors engaged in facility projects
  • Ensures maintenance is kept up on all vehicles assigned, including yard vehicles, and following up on the requested repairs
  • Responsible for snow removal on company premises and directing personnel where to load and unload the snow
  • Assists with other duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager and Director of Facilities


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with hauling heavy equipment and commercial goods preferred
  • Experience with the operation of heavy equipment preferred
  • Must be Forklift Certified or willing to obtain Forklift Certification
  • Requires a Class A CDL driver's license and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record, including Double and Triple Endorsement
  • An above average comfort level with computer programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Requires a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must have excellent customer relations and strong interpersonal skills
  • Attain short- and long-term objectives through good management and planning
  • Should be personable, highly motivated, a problem solver, ethical, and able to adapt to all forces around them - customers, suppliers, coworkers, and manufacturers
