Litigation Legal Secretary


Job Details

Job Duties:

  • Preparing, processing pleadings/briefs in the various state and federal courts
  • Preparing correspondence, calendaring, trial preparation
  • Performing legal secretarial duties requiring both
  • sound judgment, superior organizational skills as well as excellent (court filing)
  • technical knowledge.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in litigation legal secretary
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Must have litigation experience for filing motions, letters, opening new cases, etc.
  • Excellent attendance and reliability a must
  • Exemplary customer service/people skills, excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong proficiency using MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Have a minimum typing speed of 55 wpm
  • A strong knowledge of legal procedures and court rules (federal and state) is a must.
  • Proficient in Word Perfect, Microsoft Word, Legal Solutions, and Outlook Calendaring.
  • Excellent (court filing) technical knowledge
