Job Details

This position is for the full academic year, open only to enrolled upperclassmen. Freshmen are not eligible to apply for this position.

Expected hours of work per week: 10

Work Location & Hours: Carter Hall between 8am and 4:30pm M-F

Qualifications for Position:

  1. Ability to learn how to use computer applications effectively. The ability to navigate through business and records software programs.
  2. Accuracy, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  3. Pleasant personality and ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people and personalities face-to-face, using the telephone, and over email.
  4. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in a variety of subject matters.
Expected Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Perform administrative support for the Office of Records which could include, but is not limited to, receptionist activities such as greeting visitors to the office, answering phones, organizing documents, and assisting with various office tasks/projects as needed.
  2. Data entry and proofing of transcript information, and other administrative tasks in the Banner administrative computing system.
  3. Scanning and filing confidential information.
  4. Assist with imaging of documents.
  5. Fulfill such other duties as assigned by the Office of Records.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or to the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
