**Position Description and Essential Functions:**
Seeking to hire a Utility Pole Inspection crew laborer, who is responsible for the day-to-day labor for the inspection of in-use utility poles. The position will require regional travel with extended time away from home. Lodging covered by the employer. Work is outdoors in inclement work conditions.
Essential Functions:
* Inspect utility poles
* Use hand tools appropriately, such as hammer and drills
* Dig, shovel, trench earth
* Spray utility poles with anti-decay treatment
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**
* Have basic computer skills
* Work safely at all times
**Minimum Qualifications:**
* At least 2 years of work experience, pref. construction, landscaping or other outside work.
* Must have a clean valid drivers license
* Must be willing to travel extensively for the job
* Must pass a drug test and background check
**Work Environment:**
**Physical Demands:**
* Walk up to 10 miles of terrain daily
* Regularly lift 35 pounds and up to 50 pounds off and on
* Work in back yards of dense urban areas to heavily vegetated rural areas
* Work in all types of weather conditions
