Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Facility Specialist to join our team and ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in general maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting across various systems and equipment. As a Facility Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for our employees, clients, and visitors.


Description

  • Perform routine inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance needs, safety hazards, and potential issues.
  • Conduct regular maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry repairs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with building systems, equipment, and machinery to determine appropriate repair solutions.
  • Repair or replace faulty equipment, parts, or fixtures, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and any relevant observations.
  • Assist in the development and execution of preventative maintenance plans to extend the lifespan of equipment and minimize costly breakdowns.
  • Perform tasks related to building aesthetics, such as painting, flooring repairs, and general cleaning.
  • Participate in safety inspections and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and protocols.
  • Provide support during facility-related projects, renovations, or reconfigurations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and materials to assist in procurement as needed.
  • Maintain a proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and optimization of facility operations.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in facility maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Facility Specialist or similar role, with a strong understanding of building systems and equipment.
  • Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while handling multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 30 lbs., climb ladders, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift, sit, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods during work shift.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols related to facility maintenance.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using maintenance management software is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
