Essential Functions (including but not limited to):Supervisor is the main point of contact between GEG employees, GEG, and the Client. This individual will resolve problems or conflicts, and monitor individuals when appropriate, without using physical restraint and without jeopardizing the safety of other airport employees or crew. The supervisor will manage incidents as they arise until the arrival of a representative from the Airline, GEG, or Law Enforcement, including the gathering of witness information.

Hours Available:

  • Overnight: 10pm to 6am
  • Morning: 6am - 2pm


Job responsibilities include:
  • Supervises all security personnel in the cargo warehouse and aviation operation
  • Takes proactive steps to provide a safe and security working environment for staff and other service provider personnel
  • Conducts regular walk-throughs and security inspections for assigned locations and facilities
  • Provides training and corrective action to team members as needed
  • Reasonably ensure the proper use of all necessary equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with Atlas Air safety, security, and other related standards.
  • Ensure employees are knowledgeable about TSA regulatory procedures
  • Actively supervise all employees, checking their alertness and duty performance. Employees may be rotated through each function throughout their shift in order to promote effective, vigilant, and courteous standards
  • Ensure any administrative duties are completed.
  • Actively monitor all screening activities and intervene to resolve alarms in any of the functions performed by screeners to ensure effective, vigilant, and courteous screening.
  • Handle complaints, respond to security reviews, and immediately notify the appropriate managers of incidents, suspicious activities, and threat information.
  • Ensure radios and fully charged at the beginning of each shift.
  • Allocating the break relief agent.
  • In the event of an Active shooter and Anti-Terror incident react according to the training program as described in sections 4.3.1 and 4.3.2 of this Manual.

Additional Responsibilities can include but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring that communication with the client is handled and resolved in a timely and effective manner and pass downs are reported to the operations / general manager
  • Ensuring that any client special requests or additional requirements are responded to and documented in a timely manner
  • Ensuring that staffing levels are met in accordance with the client's specifications
  • Overseeing and ensuring that all security personnel are punctual, professional, and execute all duties in accordance with their job descriptions for all activities at the airport
  • Ensuring that all security personnel follow company uniform and grooming regulations
  • Ensuring that all security personnel have the paperwork and equipment required for the account.


Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain an airport badge with customs seal: DHS requires a 10-year verifiable background check, including criminal, and employment history. Also, must be able to pass a security threat assessment as administered by the TSA
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a valid State Security License
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Upon hire, must provide proof of legal right to work in the United States
  • Must be able to pass all initial and recurrent training classes and exams
  • Federal regulations specify U.S. Citizenship, naturalized or birthright as an eligibility requirement to participate in mandatory position-specific training
  • Be able to distinguish all colors in bright and low light conditions, and have vision correctable to 20/20
  • Strongly prefer at least 1 year of security experience
  • Must be able to work overnight shift and weekend hours
