Job Purpose
We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented individual to join our Key Account Sales Team as a Key Accounts Manager. This role will focus on targeting new business, managing current accounts and driving sales.
Job Responsibilities
- Research and target new retailers
- Manage large multi store retailers
- Work closely with outside independent sales representatives
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Identify opportunities for expanding product assortment at retailers
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports
- Attend regional and national shows
- Communicate with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct analyses of sales data to identify trends and opportunities
- Perform some admin activities as needed
Job Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Work Experience: Five (5) years preferred in a related field
- Compliance: Must adhere to company policies and procedures
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proven and deep sales success
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Excel spreadsheets using VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Understanding of retailer portals and setting up items
- Proven experience in sales, account management, or a related field
- Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to present in front of large groups of people
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to execute and follow through a sales plan
- A positive, professional, and proactive attitude
- Planning and organizational skills
- Works well within a team
Working Conditions
- Environment: Office environment.
- Exposure: Low or moderate noise level.
- Physical Requirements: Sitting at a desk, using a telephone, using a keyboard, using a computer monitor for sometimes long and continuous periods of time.
- Physical Efforts: Occasionally standing, walking, reaching, and stooping. Lifting up to 30 lbs.
