Job Purpose:
The primary focus of a Private Client Officer is to provide exceptional service to clients and to create an experience that goes above and beyond that of the traditional banking atmosphere. We believe in having open, honest, and genuine conversations with our clients to make sure we are helping them to make the right financial decisions for their unique situation. To meet this expectation, this role requires a passion for working with clients, delivering a personalized level of service and overseeing the financial activities of high net-worth clients.
Responsible for promoting financial products and services while providing exceptional service and developing deposit relationships with current and prospective client base. Provide tailored financial solutions while cultivating lasting client relationships. Work closely with other business line partners to develop relationships and ensure retention of total client assets and net growth in relationships for high-net-worth clients. Assist in providing consumer lending products and solutions to clients with access to specialized financial needs. Flawless execution of the internal procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize exceptions. Perform unique onboarding experience of the client into the Private Client Group to set the tone for the relationship that is above the standard. Must have outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, and must adhere to the minimum service expectations set out by the bank. These expectations lay the foundation of how we set ourselves apart from the competition and create an experience that is unlike any other in the industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Onboard new and existing client relationships, providing exceptional client service with every interaction.
- Meet with clients to evaluate their current financial position, discuss financial goals and recommend strategies, banking options, financial management products and relationships.
- Advise high net-worth clients on financial matters to assist them and provide strategic partnerships for budgeting for retirement or educational expenses, tax and estate planning, pension advice, and other areas.
- Research current investment trends, financial news, and potential changes that could affect clients accounts.
- Introduce clients to strategic partners to enhance their financial management strategy.
- Evaluates clients and other loan products and services and determines which financial products best meet the customer's needs and financial circumstances.
- Monitors overall customer interaction throughout the loan process and interfaces with all parties involved from application to closing.
- Engage with clients and take ownership of their experience.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently, and review work completed throughout the day for accuracy.
- Proactively manage the Certificate of Deposit portfolio
- Serve as the subject matter expert on private client services and products.
- Other responsibilities and tasks deemed appropriate by Management.
Other Key Job Functions:
- Communicate effectively with Senior Management, Auditors, Vendors, and other bank personnel.
- Adhere to all bank and department personnel policies and procedures
- Perform other reasonably related job responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience recommending financial services products and services.
- Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities designed to acquire new consumer household clients and/or cross-sell to established customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong spelling and grammar skills
- Ability to maintain strictest level of confidentiality.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong work ethic
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Focus on timely follow up.
