Job Summary:

Cleans and prepares guest rooms and public areas by meeting established company standards to assure guest satisfaction.

Job Duties:

Maintains the hotel rooms and building to ensure a safe and clean experience.
Sets up cleaning carts with supplies, maintains carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion.
Cleans fixtures in rooms, public areas and hallways such as windows, doors, walls, etc.
Cleans and sanitizes guest and public restrooms.
Replaces towels, soaps and all room amenities.
Restocks room literature that has been removed, soiled or torn.
Washes all hard floor areas.
Dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures and wall hangings.
Strips beds of all linens and remakes bed with fresh linen.
Cleans closet, wipes closet door, handle and overhead shelves.
Restocks guest room supplies such as hangers, extra blankets and extra pillows.
Vacuums rooms, public areas and hallways.
Inspects rooms to ensure everything is in working order, such as door and window locks, lights, television reports and plumbing.
Notifies maintenance immediately of any itemneeding repair or of any unsecured, unsafe situation.
Maintains a friendly, professional and courteous manner at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products and operation of basic cleaning equipment.
Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head, bending and stooping to perform cleaning tasks.
Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
