**Availability:** Position requires regular weekday, evenings, and weekend hours, occasional holidays. Hours may fluctuate based on the seasonal needs of the Garden.

**General Summary :**

Provide a high level of customer service to Garden visitors while assisting in the sales of admissions, memberships, classes, and events.

**Essential Duties:**

* Become familiar with and communicate the selling points of memberships, classes, group tours, and events.

* Provide excellent customer service by welcoming customers, interacting with them at the front desk, and answering questions about the Garden. Ring sales into computer POS system. Process phone orders and special orders according to established procedures.

* Maintain the front desk with appropriate supplies/forms.

* Assist in the cleanliness of the Atrium.

* Reviewing/maintaining stock levels of collateral at the kiosks while communicating to appropriate departments the needs.

* Assist in the sales of amenities from the gift shop such as sunscreen, bug spray, etc

* Open and close the desk by preparing the POS terminals at the beginning of the day; prepare deposit paperwork and balance the POS terminals at the end of the day according to established procedures.

* Participate in department meetings.

* Support Garden events by helping to set up and process sales.

* Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications:**

High school graduate required. 2+ years of retail or customer service experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Experience utilizing POS software preferred.
