I am working with a boutique investment bank headquartered in Philadelphia, my client is seeking a dynamic and driven Investment Banking Senior Analyst or Associate to join the team. My client specializes in providing comprehensive financial advisory services to clients across various industries, with a focus on delivering tailored solutions and maximizing value for our clients.


Position Overview:

As an Investment Banking Senior Analyst or Associate, you will play a critical role in executing M&A transactions, conducting financial analysis, and providing strategic advice to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior bankers on a wide range of transactions, contributing to the growth and success of our firm.


Responsibilities:

Transaction Execution:

  • Assist in all aspects of deal execution, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, due diligence, and preparation of marketing materials.
  • Conduct industry research and competitive analysis to support transaction recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transaction processes and timely completion.

Financial Analysis:

  • Develop complex financial models to analyze potential deals, including DCF analysis, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis.
  • Evaluate financial statements, perform company valuations, and assess financial performance metrics.

Client Interaction:

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing strategic advice and guidance throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and pitches, demonstrating expertise and professionalism.

Market Intelligence:

  • Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting the investment banking landscape.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on market research and analysis.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with senior bankers and other team members to coordinate deal activities and deliver exceptional client service.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering their professional development and growth.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Series 79 and 63 licenses (or willingness to obtain within specified timeframe).
