Position Overview:
As an Investment Banking Senior Analyst or Associate, you will play a critical role in executing M&A transactions, conducting financial analysis, and providing strategic advice to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior bankers on a wide range of transactions, contributing to the growth and success of our firm.
Responsibilities:
Transaction Execution:
- Assist in all aspects of deal execution, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, due diligence, and preparation of marketing materials.
- Conduct industry research and competitive analysis to support transaction recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transaction processes and timely completion.
Financial Analysis:
- Develop complex financial models to analyze potential deals, including DCF analysis, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis.
- Evaluate financial statements, perform company valuations, and assess financial performance metrics.
Client Interaction:
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing strategic advice and guidance throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and pitches, demonstrating expertise and professionalism.
Market Intelligence:
- Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting the investment banking landscape.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on market research and analysis.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with senior bankers and other team members to coordinate deal activities and deliver exceptional client service.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering their professional development and growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Series 79 and 63 licenses (or willingness to obtain within specified timeframe).
