**Description**
Endries International Inc, a distributor of fasteners and other production components servicing a variety of manufacturers around the world, has an opening for a **Receiving Clerk** on our Quality team in Elgin, IL
As a **Receiving Clerk** you will:
* Inspect output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality.
* Check that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements
* Review blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods.
* Record inspection results into the quality database.
* Proposing improvements to the production process
* Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements
* Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs
**Experience/Skills Required**
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Keen attention to detail
* Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications
* Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers and computers
* Blueprint reading capabilities
* Comfortable standing, walking and lifting heave items for long periods of time
