Position: Business Development SpecialistDuration: Full TimeLocation: McLean, VA 22102 The Business Development Specialist at Inoventures has a great opportunity to take the company through a growth path by leading the BD efforts and grow as a leader within the company. As a self-starter, he/she will understand Inoventures past performance, extensively engage in researching various databases, work with the research team and identify relevant opportunities to go after. Responsibilities include researching GSA IT 70 e-Buy portal, GovWin and other required databases to identify niche opportunities. With the opportunities identified, work with the Proposal Manager to provide required support. Reach out to the government POCs with the goal of winning work as a HUBZone, WOSB and as a small business. Job DescriptionUnderstand Inoventures capabilities thoroughly and as an advocate, represent Inoventures to government and commercial customers during outreach meetingsResearch extensively on various relevant databases and identify niche opportunities to go afterIdentify, track and report on government requirements using in-depth primary source researchWork with the research team, Proposal Manager and other relevant stakeholders in taking an opportunity from bid to a contract winInteract with government officials, orally and through written communication, in an effort to establish better account management relationships Assist the CEO with other BD efforts that might arise in various areasEnjoy learning various new tasks QualificationsCollege degree required0-2 years professional experience in marketing, customer support, data collection, business development or government relationsAptitude to research and identify opportunitiesHigh energy, confidence and positive attitude to articulate about InoventuresAbility to enjoy meeting and developing relationships with key customersCustomer focus and ability to interact with government officials one-on-one at public sector events.Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
