Responsibilities:
Handle smaller cases from Day One
Work directly with lead trial counsel on catastrophic cases
Mentor with senior partners who want you to advance and succeed in the practice and business of law
Attend court, including trials, arbitrations, hearings, status conferences and settlement conferences
Conduct/defend depositions and participate in site inspections
Perform legal research and draft briefs and motions
Handle pleadings, discovery responses, contracts, medical records, expert reports, expert deposition testimony analysis
Draft client status reports, conduct investigations and communicate with clients
Identify risk transfer opportunities and take necessary steps to secure successful tender
Qualifications:
1-4 years prior experience in a civil defense litigation practice (product liability or personal injury a plus but not required)
Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar with active license (New Jersey admission a plus)
Capacity to work from our Radnor, PA office
Ability to manage a Pennsylvania civil defense litigation file from start to finish
Extensive knowledge of Pennsylvania civil practice
Excellent research, writing and organizational skills
