Job Details
We are seeking a qualified candidate for the Controller role. This position entails a minimum of 2 years in Management and 5 years in a Finance/Accounting role. The salary for this position ranges between $105k to $125k, based on experience and qualifications. The Controller is responsible for management of two employees, performing month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, overseeing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, cash management, payroll oversight and recording, income tax compliance, fixed assets, job costing, inventory oversight, purchasing oversight, and providing financial analysis which includes variance analysis to forecast and budget while making recommendations on benchmarks and Key Performance Indicators. The incumbent must establish and monitor consistent accounting policies, practices, and internal controls/audits. The Controller must have a 4-year accounting degree with extensive GAAP knowledge, possess strong attention to detail, proficiency in processes/systems, a willingness to investigate issues and undertake transactional work, and experience with month-end close. The ideal candidate must also be willing to work from the office.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
Demonstrated expertise in Corporate Accounting
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred
Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to develop and implement financial and operational controls
Strong understanding of construction project management
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
