Description
POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician 2 will perform all aspects of maintenance such as welding, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Director
SUPERVISES: N/A
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintenance/Repair tasks at the plant
- Preventative maintenance/repair tasks on mobile equipment
- Preventive maintenance/repair tasks on furnaces, power supplies and plant operational equipment and processes
- Repairs of unscheduled equipment issues causing downtime
- Completing work orders & PM paperwork
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: - Forklift experience is preferred but not required
- Truck and trailer maintenance experience preferred
- Industrial maintenance or millwright or welding experience within other manufacturing facilities
COMPETENCIES: - Follow all safety rules, regulations and policies of the company
- Self-starter, dependable and work well with other team members
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: - Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs.
- Physical Requirements: Exerting up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Visual Acuity: ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including to make general observations of facilities.

Requirements
Maintenance Tech 2- 4 years of Maintenance Tech experience (internally) or 5 years previous documented industrial maintenance or millwright or welding experience within other manufacturing facilities
- Ability to operate and use hand tools/power tools
- Advanced mechanical aptitude
- Welding Ability- Proficient in MIG and TIG, stick welding, torching plasma, and fabrication
- Electrical knowledge- knowledge of 480,
- Understanding of hydraulic systems and operations
- Understanding of pneumatic systems knowledge
- Forklift and/or heavy equipment operations certified
- Good understanding of general safety, health, and environmental programs
- Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position
- Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes
Salary Description
$26.72 per hour starting pay
