GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Bear River State Park is one of 27 impressive state parks and historic sites in Wyoming. Located in Southwest Wyoming along the I-80 corridor near Evanston, Bear River State Park is one of our state's smaller parks but has an abundance of recreational, educational, and natural resource opportunities for visitors. The park is home to a small captive herd of North American Bison and three Rocky Mountain Elk bulls for viewing, a Visitor Center with an array of visitor information, spectacular taxidermy displays, herpetology exhibits, and a small gift/souvenir shop. The site consists of 324 acres of recreational and natural resources on the outskirts of Evanston along the Bear River. Whether you are a one-time visitor or daily visitor, Bear River State Park has something to offer for everyone with its 8-10 miles of paved and dirt trails for hiking and biking, picnic shelters and areas, wildlife viewing, river access for fishing or floating, educational programs, events and much more. We also offer dump stations for RVs, public restrooms at the Visitor Center, and future potential for camping opportunities.

The primary employment season runs from May through the end of September. These positions may extend longer into the fall. The actual length of employment depends on the demand for services at Bear River State Park.
