Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant to provide acute care for all ages to join our dynamic healthcare team. As an integral member of our medical staff, the NP will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the overall wellness of our patients. The role requires a Master's degree and acute care experience, with pediatric experience preferred. The schedule includes weekdays and occasional half days on weekends, with housing provided

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:
    • Conduct comprehensive health assessments to evaluate patients' medical conditions
    • Formulate accurate diagnoses based on clinical findings and collaborate with physicians for complex cases
  • Treatment Planning and Implementation:
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the patient, their family, and the healthcare team
    • Prescribe medications and therapies within the scope of practice
    • Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient response
  • Health Promotion and Disease Prevention:
    • Educate patients on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices
    • Conduct screenings and immunizations to promote overall health and well-being
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care
    • Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide information and address concerns
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations
    • Document all assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and communications in the electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Continuous Professional Development:
    • Stay current with advances in healthcare by participating in ongoing education and training
    • Pursue opportunities for professional growth and development
Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher
  • 1 Plus years experience in any of the following:
  • acute care
  • long term Acute care (LTAC)
  • Critical care
