Comporium is a diversified communications company providing a Quintuple Play of five services -- voice, video, data, wireless and security -- at the retail level; as well as, providing security monitoring and media services for its industry customers. Under this concept, the Comporium Group is uniquely positioned to offer customers a one-stop-shopping for all their communications needs.
Splices multiple conductor cables to repair; upgrade and maintain telephone communications transmission systems in aerial, underground and direct buried applications. Splices and maintains fiber optic cable as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform the splicing and testing that service orders, job orders & projects require.
Maintain outside plant facilities (troubleshoot, test, repair and replace) copper cable, fiber optic cable. Problems encountered typically vary in terms of cause & affect, degree of complexity and the required solution.
Locate underground facilities when necessary.
Splice coax cable when repairing damaged buried facilities.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma required
3 years of related experience; installation, repair & construction background preferred
Not afraid of heights.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, work outdoors and work in confined spaces
Able to troubleshoot problems, work independently, read blueprints and operate CAD system.
Valid Driver's license - able to obtain DOT certification
