Job Summary

Responsible for the cleanliness, sanitation & organization of all pots, pans, sheet trays & any

item that is cleaned in the "pot room". The position will perform routine and detailing

housekeeping services requiring specialized tools and equipment.

This position will interact on a regular basis with: students, faculty, and staff

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -

Promotes sustainability within dining operations including implementation and maintenance

of food pulping procedures

Job Duty 10 -

Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Duty 2 -

Works with management to ensure continued compliance with green seal initiatives

Job Duty 3 -

Perform routine housekeeping services as assigned which normally include emptying of

trash receptacles; dusting; spot cleaning; cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, restocking

supplies, dust, damp or wet mopping; sweeping and washes mats and walls, mops floors,

and maintenance of the back of house operation

Job Duty 4 -

Ensures the dish machine is properly cleaned throughout the shift

Job Duty 5 -

Properly cleans the cooking utensils and equipment. Restocks all washed items in appropriate area

Job Duty 6 -

Assists with putting away delivered products according to established guidelines and

maintains overall kitchen cleanliness

Job Duty 7 -

Returns items to the proper storage location in addition to maintaining housekeeping/storage closets, tools and equipment in a clean, orderly condition

Job Duty 8 -

Utilize chemicals and supplies in a safe and prescribed manner

Job Duty 9 -

Operate and maintain power equipment which may include carpet vacuums, canister and tank vacuums, wide-area vacuums, backpack vacuums, spot cleaning machines and other powered equipment

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

High School Diploma/GED or Vocational School Diploma.

Other Required Qualifications

Required certification, License or Permits: Current ServSafe Certification

Required Experience

One year of job-related experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES

SPECIALIZED SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE:

Ability to work nights and weekends

The ability to follow oral and written instructions, work with a diverse population, and take direction required

The ability to stand consistently up to eight hours each day

The ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds or more

SKILLS

This job requires good customer service skills including being courteous and dependable
