Visionary Eye Care & Surgery has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Front Office Receptionist for our busy and growing ophthalmology practice. Our ideal candidate should have strong hospitality skills and a good patient service focus. Should be able to multi-task, be self-motivated, and be extremely dependable. Previous ophthalmology medical practice experience is a plus.

This position is a Monday - Friday, 3 days per week. No Weekends and No Holidays!

Areas of responsibilities would include:

Greeting and checking in patients for care
Scheduling appointments
Collecting copays
Balancing daily payment log
Verifying medical and vision plan insurance benefits
Obtaining referrals
Prepping charts
Scanning and filing medical records
Answering Phones
Maintain cleanliness of the lobby
Accurately process end-of-day payment and insurance reconciliation

The ideal candidate should:

Be well-organized and can work in a team-oriented environment.
Be able to multi-task and work well under pressure.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with patients, physicians, and team members effectively.
Good computer skills.
Good phone etiquette and ability to triage calls.
Must be flexible in work assignments and schedule; demonstrate commitment to ongoing education and cumulative skill mix.
Must uphold the highest ethical principles of maintaining confidentiality and other performance standards.
