JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a strong accounting/finance and financial systems professional (ie. former Accounting Manager/Director/Controller with system implementation experience) who can help our client migrate their accounting data to a new ERP system. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting or finance experience, coupled with experience implementing ERP systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with client to understand their business requirements and assess their current accounting processes.
- Responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of the Chart of Accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly mapped and categorized.
- Migrate data over from old system to new system.
- Help unlock additional utility out of ERP.
- Work closely with the client s ERP consultant to migrate the data, and then reconcile the data in the new environment to ensure the account balances tie to the original data sources.
- Gather business reporting requirements from business stakeholders and work with client s resources to help implement a financial reporting tool on top of ERP.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong GAAP knowledge, and understanding of the balance sheet and financials
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in implementing and configuring ERP systems.
- Possess a strong foundation in accounting or financial planning and analysis (FP&A), with significant experience in controllership functions.
- Experienced in mapping financial transactions to the Chart of Accounts to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in implementing new financial systems, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and FP&A tools.
- Strong analytical abilities to forecast financial outcomes and prepare budget reports that align with company strategies.
- Understands how data flows through an accounting system and has experience reconciling and auditing data.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
