Driven Dragons Volleyball Academy is a volleyball instruction facility located in Downingtown, PA. We offer comprehensive volleyball training programs for players of all levels, from beginners to advanced. Our academy conducts Fall and Spring clinics focusing on fundamental skills, as well as Winter/Spring club volleyball for competitive play. In the summer, we organize volleyball camps for both beginners and elite players, ensuring that fun is always a part of the experience. We also emphasize building essential life skills such as communication, empathy, teamwork, fitness, confidence, and camaraderie among players.
We are proud to be regulated under the Keystone Regional Volleyball Association, which is part of USA Volleyball. This association maintains the highest standards for club staff and coaches, requiring successful background checks through the PA Department of Human Services. All staff members undergo fingerprinting and receive extensive training in volleyball safety and techniques. Parents considering club volleyball for their child are encouraged to verify if the clubs they are researching are sanctioned under USA Volleyball.
Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role as a Head Volleyball Coach in Downingtown, PA. The Head Volleyball Coach will be responsible for conducting volleyball training sessions, designing practice plans, and being the lead coach at tournaments. They will also collaborate with other coaches to develop and implement coaching strategies, provide individual player feedback and analysis, and create a positive and inclusive team environment.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Extensive knowledge and experience in volleyball
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the club level
- Ability to effectively train and educate players of different skill levels
- Passion for teaching and developing young athletes
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Experience in creating and implementing training programs
- Current certifications in coaching and first aid/CPR
- Experience playing volleyball at a competitive level is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or related field is desirable
