I'm currently working with one of my best General Contractor clients in Texas who is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their growing team. They specialize in multi-family, townhomes, industrial, and educational projects. Responsibilities:
- INVOICES: Process and verify vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, and subcontractor insurance information.
- COMPLIANCE: Contact subcontractors for missing/invalid waivers and expired insurance certificates, ensuring compliance before releasing payments.
- PAYMENTS: Assist with check runs, process pay applications using AIA format, and manage change orders in collaboration with the Project Management team.
- RECONCILIATION: Perform month-end reconciliation, maintain accurate records, and prepare financial reports and schedules for auditors.
- OVERSIGHT: Oversee accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and ensure government compliance in all financial tasks.
Qualifications:
- EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, specifically within the construction industry.
- SKILLS: Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
