Job Details

We are a full service development and GC company with an architectural wing. The candidate will be working on specific residential ground up development sites owned by the Development company., as well as some apartment plans. The lead architect will be responsible for all DOB filing sets, zoning, code compliance. They will need to know how to put together a full DOB filing set, work close with the MEP and Structural engineers. They must have a cast knowledge in zoning, code compliance and all DOB requirements.

We are seeking a talented Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of buildings and structures.

Responsibilities:

- Design and renovate structures while ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations

- Utilize software such as AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Rhinoceros 3D, NavisWorks, and Bluebeam for drafting and design purposes

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project success

- Manage construction projects from conception to completion

- Incorporate sustainable design principles into projects

- Oversee interior design aspects of projects

Experience:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Rhinoceros 3D, NavisWorks, and Bluebeam software

- Experience in construction management and project management

- Strong ability to draft architectural plans accurately

- Knowledge of interior design principles

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

As an Architect, you will

  • Perform architectural assignments with general direction, no immediate supervision, and work independently as well as collaboratively with others toward design solutions
  • Assist in developing design and technical solutions for projects in all phases, including graphics, renderings, physical modeling, and performance metrics for the successful communication of the design goals
  • Provide production of design drawings, presentation drawings, and digital models in support of design teams
  • Research products and materials, review existing projects, and those under construction to inform the production of design documentation
  • Assist in the project s narrative for meeting building performance goals, including metrics, verification, and design integration
  • Contribute to the effective performance of the Project Team regarding project quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Assist in the execution of Construction Administration responsibilities and project close-out.
  • Contribute to general office-wide initiatives and marketing efforts
  • Demonstrate motivation in seeking new responsibilities and challenges
  • Help build relationships with clients and consultants with team leaders
  • Supervision and mentorship of junior staff

Qualifications:

  • Highly motivated, proactive, and passionate.
  • Well-organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent team communication skills, design presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience detailing and execution of construction documents with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in technical aspects of the project including detailing, coordination, and building performance.
  • Experience in a variety of building types, building materials, technical design, and construction techniques.
  • Experience with complex multi-phased higher education, healthcare, civic and/or commercial development projects is desired.
  • Experience in Construction Administration on the above project types.
  • Experience with energy modeling or daylighting tools is desired.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Rhino, Sketch-Up, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of Construction Administration software; Newforma, Procore, Kahua or similar.
  • Professional Architectural degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Licensed Architects are strongly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
