Under close supervision, the Process Engineer I assists in providing technical guidance for designated Engineering projects and programs at the assigned site. This role involves participating in small to medium site construction, expansion, or modification projects, as well as administering contracts with vendors for services and equipment provision.

Focus:

  • Support the review, investigation, and formulation of suitable recommendations for designated engineering projects.
  • Participate in small to medium site construction, expansion, or modification projects.
  • Administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment.
  • Develop a working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations appropriate to the area of assignment.
  • Understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively regarding job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards.
  • Work in a potentially stressful environment, typically in a mine or manufacturing plant setting.
  • Adhere to personal protective equipment requirements when performing work.
  • Performing other duties as required.

Skill Set:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or an appropriate Engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of Engineering principles and practices, including the skill to follow safety practices and recognize hazards.
  • SMRP or CMRP Certification or Completion of Reliability Engineering courses.
  • Experience in conducting root cause failure analysis (RCFA), SAP, PI Vision, Power BI and Honeywell.
  • Maintenance experience (automotive and/or industrial).
  • Electrical experience with VFDS, Electric motors, Transformers, power switching, power transmission, PLCs, PID loops, Digital Control Systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
