Payroll Clerk

The WTC Payroll Clerk is responsible for assisting in the weekly payroll for all WTC office locations. In addition, the Payroll Clerk will address inquiries by field employees, Human Resources, and members of Management. The position of Payroll Clerk will report to Payroll Supervisor and/or Payroll Manager.

Payroll clerk job duties/responsibilities:

  • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data
  • Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, deductions, job title changes
  • Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures
  • Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
  • Enters new hires into payroll system
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties as needed
  • All other duties as assigned
