JobSummary

You will be involved in donor screening, customerservice, and whole blood collection as a Donor Care Technician. Your responsibilities will include assessingand documenting the vitals of presenting donors to determine eligibility,performing blood collection (phlebotomy), and providing excellent customerservice and pre/post-donation care as needed. You'll work alongside other techniciansand attend regular staff meetings and trainings.

Inaddition to the above, you will be responsible for labeling all bloodcollection materials, unloading, assembling, maintaining, dismantling, andreloading equipment and supplies, and performing all data collection andadministrative needs directly related to daily operations. While not required,specialized training beyond high school, such as phlebotomy, nursing assistant,medical assistant, or EMT work, will make you an ideal candidate for thisrole.

We are seeking a DonorCare Technician who is organized, steady under pressure, and capable of beingflexible regarding varying shifts and work locations (i.e., working atfixed donor center locations and various community sites via mobile blooddrives, etc.)

Qualifications

Educationand Experience
  • High school diplomaor equivalent
  • Minimum six months ofexperience in phlebotomy or related healthcare environment
Licensureand Certifications
  • Valid driver'slicense (Mobile Staff: Operator's license required: MO class E, KS class C)
  • A Medical Assistant'sdegree and phlebotomy certification is preferred
