Job Details

The Food and Beverage Manager oversees all aspects of Jeptha Creed's Kitchen and Cocktail Bar planning and service, with duties to include menu planning and costs, preparation and presentation of food and drinks, and adherence to quality and safety standards.


The Food and Beverage manager delivers outstanding guest service and profitability. This manager will perform the following tasks to the highest standards: Management, support, schedule, delegation, coaching, and train team members in all bar and kitchen activities and operations. Monitor, observe and assist in evaluating staff performance. Support and assist team members in handling guest inquiries and requests and in resolving guest complaints. The correct candidate will resolve escalated issues arising from operations and require coordination with other departments.


Jeptha Creed's Food and Beverage Manager will ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards. Manage and monitor product quality and service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly. Assist in monitoring inventory and inventory control. Help Identify marketing opportunities for our marketing team to promote food and beverage products.

The Food and Beverage Manager reports to the Visitor Center's General Manager, partners with Distillery Leadership, and leads the Bar and Kitchen staff. The Food and Beverage Manager is one of the essential leaders in guiding the Visitor Center of the Distillery's frontlines.


General Job Description/Responsibilities include:

  • Provides outstanding customer service to all guest

  • Recruit, train, supervise, mentor, and schedule Bar and Kitchen staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards
  • Ensures 100% compliancy with Jeptha Creed Food and Beverage Standards
  • Provides constant professionalism, strong leadership
  • Create delicious Food and Beverage recipes with creative presentation.
  • Easily capable of leading public speaking for Jeptha Creed, Jeptha Creed Experiences, Jeptha Creed Spirits, and Jeptha Creed's Craft Cocktails and Food.
  • Educate and excite visitors, giving them an experience!
  • Educate and Promote Jeptha Creed Craft Cocktails and Food
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversees bar and kitchen departments during events.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure the best profit for bar and kitchen.
  • Maintain Bar and Kitchen budget, and all statistical and financial records of the bar and kitchen KPI's
  • Maintain completion of weekly Bar and Kitchen staff tip outs, Par levels, Inventory, and waste log
  • Coordinate with management and staff to ensure completion of all responsibilities of the Distillery
  • Communicate with management leadership/staff about bar responsibilities and bar updates
  • Manages customer queries and complaints

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Restaurant Management, with knowledge of Table Service
  • 2+ years of Bartending Experience, with the expertise of Craft Cocktails
  • 2+ years of Hospitality Industry
  • Food Service Managers Certification
  • Weekends are required
  • Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for long periods.
  • Able to bend and kneel and have the ability to lift 70 pounds.
