Surveying Technician


Job Details

GPI is seeking a mid-level Survey Technician with a minimum of three (3) years of survey experience in our Salem, NH office. This position is responsible for developing survey deliverables (boundary surveys, existing conditions plans, etc.) in AutoCAD Civil 3D; processing and importing field data into working drawings, existing conditions base sheets, and finished plans. The Survey CAD Technician will work under the direction of a Project Surveyor. Preference would be given to applicants with Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) Certification and previous field/office survey experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and completing drawings in accordance with project requirements using computer-aided design/drafting equipment
  • Modifying drawings as directed by the project manager or project surveyor.
  • Working closely with other surveyors and engineers to ensure a coordinated design.
  • Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as necessary
  • Occasionally assisting field crews as necessary


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in drafting of boundary and topographic surveys (Flexible)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D in survey capacity
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Preference to candidates proficient in AutoCAD
  • LiDAR extraction experience a plus
