Warehouse Operations Manager (Imports) - Rancho Dominguez
Hours: 7:00 AM-4 PM

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Manages and directs all Import warehouse activities including but not limited to, daily operations, staffing and process improvements. Directly responsible for multiple shift operations but will be required to work closely with the 1st shift management team to meet and follow company directives.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Establish and maintain procedures to ensure we operate safely and in compliance with all regulations of any variety, including OSHA compliance, FMC regulations. Safe and timely carriage of freight, handling of hazardous cargos within DOT and IMCO regulations.
Ensures maximization all loads, ensures loading and unloading is done in a timely manner, without damage.
Conduct regular meetings to address CFS operational and safety issues.
Train, mentor and develop supervisors and other department staff.
Successfully manages warehouse projects such as 5S and others as assigned.
Tracks productivity to meet company s requirements and maximizes operational efficiency.
Trains warehouse team, ensuring completion and proper execution of work procedures, including employee development and performance appraisal.
Order/Manage temp labor to make sure we are being as cost effective but productive as possible.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change while improving efficiencies and processes
Must have excellent People Management and Time Management skills and abilities
Solid interpersonal skills to effectively interact at all levels across functions
Goal-oriented with proven record of self-motivation and achievement
Uses creativity to seek quality solutions and process improvements
Experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff
Team player: willing to roll up sleeves and work if needed
Demonstrated teamwork skills across entire organization
Must have supervised at least 15+ team members
Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs
Demonstrated leadership and managerial abilities
Ability to conceptualize and think strategically
Proactive with strong analytical skills
Related Transportation experience
