POSITION PROFILE.

We are looking for a Vice President, Analytics & Insights to derive and deliver data-driven, actionable insights to answer client business challenges while also demonstrating the business impact of our work. The ideal candidate must be a passionate champion of the analytics discipline and fluent in the various technologies, platforms, and best practices that define the media and marketing space.

A highly collaborative and original thinker who is curious about the intersections of people, culture, brands, and media, the Vice President will be responsible for developing and selling innovative measurement strategies, leading business intelligence efforts, and managing the execution and presentation of analyses designed to drive deep understanding of consumer behavior and communications performance. They will serve as a client counselor on key accounts, integral leader of new business efforts, and educator and mentor to agency staff about the power and importance of meaningful insights and measurement.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Partner with cross-function leadership teams to develop data-led and research-backed client communications strategies, lending expertise from ideation to execution to performance evaluation.
  • Derive insights from data to help create compelling storytelling narratives that earn attention and connection with key audiences.
  • Develop strategic measurement frameworks and playbooks to form the basis of ongoing performance assessment and optimization across earned, owned, and paid channels.
  • Create visually compelling presentations of reporting and insights that allow a client to easily evaluate performance relative to their business objectives.
  • Leverage a variety of descriptive and inferential statistical methods to analyze data from online and offline sources.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of well-established and new and evolving marketing analytics tools and platforms, applying that knowledge to inform and enhance our work.
  • Build strong relationships, confidence, and trust with internal stakeholders, agency partners, and clients.
  • Work closely with clients and partner agencies to ensure proper operations of data-driven strategies.
  • Champion the use of data to inform decision-making at all levels internally and externally.
  • Actively participate in agency new business development and competitive new business pitches.
  • Consult and collaborate with account leads to design, budget, staff, and deliver analytics work.
  • Contribute to the career growth of junior team members as manager, mentor, and role model.

QUALIFICATIONS.

  • 8-10 years of work experience in the marketing science, marketing analytics, data science, or performance marketing fields.
  • Experience working on analytics that demonstrate the value of marketing and communications programs across paid, earned, social, and owned media components.
  • Experience working on analytics for communications programs with earned, owned, and paid media components, including social media, site analytics, and search.
  • Ability to leverage scripting to automate analyses, data cleansing, and data integration tasks.
  • Understanding of enterprise data management, integration, and governance principles.
  • Experience with relational databases and statistical analysis/programming languages such as SAS, SQL, R or Python.
  • Experience with data visualization tools including Tableau, Google Data Studio, Domo, Excel, etc.
  • Expertise with site analytics and social platforms including Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Facebook/Instagram, TikTok, and X.
  • Experience using media/marketing intelligence, social listening, social reporting, or other research tools such as Talkwalker, Meltwater, Muckrack, Sysomos, Critical Mention, Quid, Brandwatch, Affinio, Comscore, Sprinklr, Sprout, or Mintel.
  • Experience with A/B/ and MVT testing/optimization for site and social media content.
  • Confident presenter, persuasive speaker, respected counselor to clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task in a deadline-oriented environment.
