Position: Millwright
Location/s: Ashland, VA
Duration: 3 months contract (possible to convert depending on performance)
Starting Pay: Up to $24.00/hr
Shift: 1st Shift (5 days a week; 10 hours a day + Saturday 6-8 hours)

Overview:
Seeking an experienced Millwright to install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment. Welding experience is a valuable asset for this role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, dismantle, and relocate machinery and equipment as required.
- Perform various tasks like hooking up electronics, hydraulics, and building gearboxes.
- Commission or decommission machines as necessary.
- Conduct routine maintenance to ensure machinery operates optimally.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions.
- Utilize welding skills for repairs and fabrication as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a tidy work environment.
- Document all work performed, including repairs and maintenance.
Skills and Education Requirements: - Proven Millwright experience in an industrial environment.
- Proficient in building, tearing down, and rebuilding mechanical components.
- Welding certification and hands-on experience with various techniques (MIG, TIG, stick, flux-core) is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with a range of tools and equipment.
- Committed to workplace safety and following safety protocols.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends for maintenance shutdowns.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent training is preferred.
- Welding certification or relevant experience is a bonus.
Pre-Employment Requirements: - Must pass a criminal background check (7-year felony + sex offender)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test (10 panels for recreational drugs and opiates)
