Position Overview:

The Ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on executive compensation matters. Experience in qualified retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation, equity compensation, health and welfare plans, mergers and acquisitions, ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act) and ESOP (employee stock ownership plans) is a plus. Candidate must have excellent academic record and commitment to client service. Position open for any office. Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, or Princeton preferred. Bar admission required for the jurisdiction of practice. The pay for this position will be determined based on relevant skills and experience, education, external market data, internal equity, and other job-related factors. The anticipated pay range for this role is $230,000 - $260,000.


Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar or eligibility for admission by motion.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience practicing executive compensation and employee benefits law, preferably at a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Strong knowledge of ERISA, tax, and securities laws relating to executive compensation and employee benefits.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
