**Catering Assistant**
**Ravenhurst Residential Care Home, 21 Lickhill Road North, Stourport-On-Severn, Worcestershire, DY13 8RU**
**9.60 per hour (pay rate effective 1st April 2022)**
**15.5 hours per week**

**Where youll work**
The magical moments created in the care home and how we support them to remain connected to the local community in Stourport-on-Severn. We deliver person-centred and fulfilling activities every day. Ravenhurst has its own gardening club in our very own allotment plot. There are always lots of visitors of the animal variety, from horses and dogs to the more exotic! Local nursery children come to the home every week to take part in some wonderful intergenerational activities. The residents also enjoy lots of day trips, including ice-skating, with our staff and their loved ones safely pushing them along the ice in wheelchairs, to boat trips along the River Severn.
* First and foremost we work together as a team to enrich our residents lives lets support our colleagues too and have fun in the process
* Your main duties will include basic food preparation, presenting meals to a high standard and serving meals to our residents, all performed to relevant food hygiene legislation
* Excellent food and great service play a key part in our residents day.
* Team work! A happy team, makes for happy residents and a happy home
* Previous catering experience is desirable as is a food hygiene certificate
* An understanding of safe food storage/cleaning practices is essential
* Support and training are provided
* You need to be caring, enthusiastic and have energy to share
* Being able to communicate well is essential along with a flexible approach
* You will also be kind and have a real genuine like for older people and their needs, ensuring we treat everyone with the respect and dignity they deserve.
