**General Laborer (Heat Treat)**

**Heat Treat - Lima, OH - Full Time**

**Superior Forge & Steel Corporation** is currently hiring a **General Laborer** for our operation. The General Laborer is responsible for performing general and/or material labor skills in support of production, maintenance, and administration needs. This is a **1st shift** (days) position, Monday through Friday with occasional OT possible. Starting rate of pay is $16.50 pr hr,, with a $1.00 per hour increase every 6 months until top rate of pay is achieved. This position is also eligible to earn production incentive pay. ***Responsibilities:***

* Assist machine operators in loading and unloading machines

* Loading and unloading of trucks

* Assists with removal of machining turnings from pits

* General custodial responsibilities including (but not limited to) cleaning of floors, bathrooms, offices, and breakroom areas

* Maintain janitorial equipment, supplies, and closet

* Painting of safety indicators in plant

* Perform other department duties, as assigned

***Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:***

* Must be capable of lifting up to 25-55 lbs regularly

* Must be able to climb stairs

* Exposed to seasonal temperature changes

* Manufacturing environment with heat, noise, dust, and vibration

***Qualifications:***

* High School Diploma or GED required

* Valid drivers license required

* Must have prior experience in manufacturing environment

* Must be able to work independently and prioritize tasks

* Must be able to follow oral and written instructions

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

Must pass pre-employment criminal background check, physical and drug screen upon conditional offer of employment.

**Classification**: Hourly

Eligible after 60 days (520 working hours): production incentive program (potential to add $1-$2 per hour to base pay, based on production)

Eligible at 6 months: pay progression program, participation in 401K program, STD (short term disability).
