The Need

For 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM's Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence by 2030, we are seeking a Director, Mobilization and Partnerships, Dallas.

The fight to end everyday violence requires a committed constituency of advocates willing to stand up on behalf of people in poverty experiencing violence. The Director, Mobilization & Partnerships, Dallas will scale the movement against slavery and other forms of violent oppression by recruiting, equipping and championing new donors, churches, businesses and volunteers. The Sr. Lead is responsible for developing the strategy to acquire new high-value donors, Freedom Partners, volunteers and institutional partners that scale the movement. This includes building one-on-one relationships with local networks and leaders and through developing and managing volunteer teams. This position requires frequent travel within the designated region as well as periodic travel to the Arlington, VA office.

This remote position is based in Dallas, Texas and reports to the Head of Mobilization and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Knowledge Development & Implementation

  • Power-map your city and region to determine how and where best to recruit the various donors, advocates, churches, businesses, and partners required to acquire and engage high value donors.
  • Evaluate potential partners and donors based on their capacity and resources. Craft customized partnership opportunities that align IJM's greatest needs with the strategic strengths and capabilities of each prospective partner organization.
  • Identify and manage strategic projects that activate Christian business groups, churches, and faith-based networks as "agents of change," reaching thousands of new Christians, growing giving, and deepening engagement.
  • Develop a regional strategy that grows engagement of thousands of Christians via relationships with strategic coalitions, pastor gatherings, and Christian networks in key markets through the Dallas region.


Networking & Partnership
  • Implement partnership strategies to deepen and diversify a new pipeline across the region, annually delivering new partners to the front-line teams, utilizing high-impact volunteers as applicable.
  • Advance IJM's movement, which could include leading vision trips to the field, and strengthening global partnerships between churches, business networks, key alliances, and field offices.
  • Network with key agents of change, leveraging their platforms for the mission.
  • Acts as the subject-matter expert on churches, coalitions, conferences, denominations, and other anti-human trafficking efforts in Dallas.
  • Fill volunteer needs in Dallas, ensuring that our teams executing on events, tours and campaigns have the necessary support to achieve goals.


Communication
  • Work collaboratively with other members in your region and internally to develop best practices and key learnings.
  • Represent IJM with inspiration and excellence as a high-level spokesperson for the mission through speaking engagements, print media, radio, and other marketing channels.
  • Champion strategic campaigns and programs in your region, including Freedom Sunday, Local Prayer Gathering, Rescue Party, IJM campus chapters, workplace giving campaigns, etc.
  • Exhibit a refined understanding of audience's needs and present the IJM message accordingly, sharing relevant IJM stories and appropriate calls-to-actions (CTAs) in an engaging way. Test various CTA's to shape industry-setting standards.


General Tasks
  • Participate in IJM's community of spiritual formation.


Qualifications:

Education & Experience
  • 5-7 years of leading partnership relationships (e.g. businesses, conferences, church).
  • 5+ years fundraising and/or sales.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Proven track record of activating communities of influence.


Technical Competencies
  • Proven fundraiser.
  • High capacity, networked community leader philanthropy/management professional.
  • Event/conference experience.
  • Expert in leveraging media and PR.
  • Expert in marketing.
  • Understanding of all platforms (digital, web, print, event, etc) utilized for platform engagement.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Highest level of professionalism and integrity.

*What is a statement of faith?
A statement of faith should describe your Christian faith and how you see it as relevant to your involvement with IJM.
