OVERVIEW

We're thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our small but mighty FP&A team which sits at the heart of the Direct Wines business supporting key decisions and ensuring consistency of information flow. This FP&A Manager joining us will focus on developing reporting tools such a Power BI for the benefit of the entire organization. The central role will allow the ideal candidate to quickly learn the business, developing forecasts, models and reports to support decision making across all departments.


A successful candidate in this role will be comfortable maintaining good working relationships across many departments including Marketing, Wine Merchandising, Operations and Finance. A strong understanding of subscriptions and lifetime value business models will be beneficial. This role will handle large data sets and build complex models.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reporting of financial and operating metrics, including sales, margin, and customer data, providing explanations of performance.
  • Provide explanations of performance against budget and highlight future risks and opportunities.
  • Work with other areas of the business to provide regular and on-demand forecasts.
  • Provide Marketing teams with analytical support of campaign activity and subscription performance. Work closely with other Finance team members to ensure alignment to management accounts/reporting. Assist in marketing accruals process.
  • Customer base and (new customer) conversion reporting and forecasting.
  • Development of reporting suites in PowerBI for the Finance team and other business partners.
  • Support all business partners to produce annual budget and re-forecasts, whilst providing challenge for new initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of reforecasts, annual budget and 3-year plans.
  • Work with business partners to turn analysis into value adding insight.
  • Provide bid support on key brand partner proposals.
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.



EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma (required)
  • Higher education and/or Bachelor s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent (a plus)



QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-6 years of FP&A, Finance or Analytical experience (required)
  • Experience within a subscription/DTC business (a plus)
  • Strong Excel skills (required) with particular experience with financial analysis and modelling
  • Knowledge of developing/using PowerBI, Business Objects or similar business intelligence tools (a plus)
  • Being a self-motivated individual who is intellectually curious
  • Strong commercial acumen and professionalism to work with senior level management
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized individual
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Interest in wine is always welcome, but not essential!



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in using standard office equipment, including computers, keyboards, and telephones.
  • Comfortable with prolonged period of concentration and mental focus.
