The Sr. Program Manager--Business Analyst, is accountable for supporting in translating business needs and strategies into innovative solutions. Participate in strategic planning sessions conducted with key business stakeholders to design, capture, and baseline business requirements. This role will have an in-depth knowledge of the business and associated markets as well as IT/Digital/Security systems, tools, standards, and methods.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Enterprise Project Management (EPM) team by working with strategic sponsors on the development of the business charter and scope. Gains sign off on project charter/scope.
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert on strategic projects business requirements. Leads the team thru the conducting of business requirement sessions. Identifies, analyzes, documents, and coordinates sign off on business requirements.
  • Collaborates with IT/Digital and Security (T&I) teams to ensure requirements alignment with current capabilities and the alignment around common standards, tools, and methods.
  • Interfaces with C-Suite Executives, Business Unit Leaders, Finance, Accounting, and other ULS teams as needed to develop, clarify and gain alignment on business requirements supporting the overall ULS business strategy.
  • Provides oversight to the change management process analyzing change requests and the impact to baselined requirements.
  • Assists the Sr. Program Manager -Portfolio with the intake process. Provides insights to inflight project requirements/resources and other commitments while identifying opportunities to leverage in flight work.
  • Works with the Sr. Program Managers and Test leads on the creation/execution of test use cases ensuring test cases are in alignment with business requirements.
  • Develops and communicates requirements traceability matrix documents clearly showing the relation between final design and business requirements.
  • Provides insight on service level agreements, vendor engagement, procurement issues and quality of service (QoS) elements as related to business requirements.
  • Manages stakeholders' communications/updates regarding requirements status.
  • Defines and enforces project business requirements governance (controls/expectations).
  • Performs other duties as directed.
Qualifications
  • Ten years of project, program, product and/or portfolio management with demonstrated experience completing business requirements for large-scale, distributed/complex projects with multiple parallel threads of work preferred.
  • Demonstrated blend of strategic, operational and implementation thinking.
  • Experienced in complex projects with aggressive schedules.
  • Ability to build and lead integrated teams from various internal and external organizations across multiple sites.
  • Skilled in managing matrixed teams from various internal and external organizations across multiple locations.
  • Deliver on broadly communicated objectives with a minimal amount of supervision while innovating under new and/or changing conditions.
  • An independent problem-solver that can make high quality judgements and decisions quickly with excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels, with Senior Executive Level reporting and escalation experience.
  • Experience in driving change while assisting stakeholders across the organization to manage in a change-based environment. Promote innovative ideas and accept the risks required to lead change.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems independently. Make quality judgements and decisions related to the business requirements, change requests, test cases and the impacts to the solution and organization.
  • Effective consultative and influencing without direct authority skills. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Solid foundation on latest IT/Digital technologies to be able to understand interdependences and drive towards coordinated business/technical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles including budgeting, capital allocation and business case preparation/analysis.
