Job Summary:

Our Design Specialist will work with our residential clients providing them with an exceptional client service experience by providing them with access to our tremendous collection of mosaics and tiles. The Design Specialist will serve as a key client contact and consultant, with the responsibility for assisting clients to determine their design and tile needs, formulating a design plan, and selling complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions.

Displays a positive attitude and works with integrity

Manage multiple, simultaneous client projects through all phases with a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and follow-up including consistent and concise communication to clients and others. Proficient and consistent use of company communication tools and emails is required

Maintain client contact at a high level and understand relationship selling, from initial client engagement to post-purchase follow up

Responds to clients in an efficient, friendly, and professional manner over the phone, email, social media, or messaging channels

Expresses ideas and thoughts verbally; expresses ideas and thoughts in written form; exhibits good listening and comprehension; selects and uses appropriate communication methods

Dependable and reliable, follow schedule and instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions

Shows initiative taking independent actions and calculated risks; asks for and offers help when needed

Meets productivity standards; completes work in timely manner; strives to increase productivity; works quickly

Can maintain a high level of professionalism despite any challenging situations that may arise

Qualifications

Minimum of three years (3) of interior design/tile sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company

Prior consultative sales experience

Excellent customer service skills

Proficient in basic mathematical skills

Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of the tile industry is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 per year. Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
