Job Details

**SUMMARY**

Loads, unloads, and moves cartons with materials of product within the facility. Must verify cartons to work orders and pack cartons onto pallets. Must drive liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift to push, pull, lift, stack or tier product.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, and transports load to designated area.

Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.

Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, skids, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or lifting device.

Counts, weighs and records weights and numbers of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheets. Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.

Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.

Stacks or assembles materials into boxes according to job order instructions.

Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.

Recharges batteries and replaces liquefied gas tank.

Operate motorized industrial equipment, as required

Maintain neat, clean and well-organized work area

Timely and regular attendance

Good math abilities

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds in proper manner

Possess good organizational skills

Ability to pass the motorized industrial equipment test and obtain license

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**ADDITIONAL SKILLS**

Must be flexible in working a variety of job duties and be willing to rotate positions in order to accommodate production needs. Must have basic understanding of computers, be able to input data and follow strict procedures for processes and instructions.

**LANGUAGE SKILLS**

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

**REASONING ABILITY**

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

**CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS**

Must successfully complete Powered Industrial Truck Training, including classroom and hands-on to become a licensed equipment operator.
