Director of Accounting
Our client is a leading financial services firm specializing in market-making and liquidity provision is looking for a Financial Controller to join their dynamic Finance team. Focus:
- Monitor, enhance, and maintain accounting control procedures.
- Lead and supervise the accounting team to ensure efficiency and accuracy in their operations.
- Oversee the completion of the month-end close process for various domestic and international entities.
- Ensure the maintenance of complete and accurate accounting records, including the General Ledger, Income Statement, and Balance Sheet.
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and regulatory reports to banks, regulatory bodies, and other third parties.
- Participate in the budgeting process and contribute to financial forecasting.
- Coordinate regulatory and financial audits as well as tax return filings with external CPA firms.
Skill Set:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a managerial capacity within the trading or financial services industry.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a finance team.
- CPA designation is highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong capabilities in Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all work tasks.
