Maintenance Representative, Distribution Centre

Location: Puyallup, WA, USA - 208 Todd Rd NE

Shift: Monday - Friday 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM. Note: shift subject to change. OT mandatory if required. Shift subject to change based on needs of the business. Emergencies in the building may cause slight shift changes or overtime.

Job Summary:

Our Puyallup, WA Distribution Center is seeking a dynamic and motivated Maintenance Representative to join its team. This is a chance to work for a company that has the rare mix of being a fun, yet high-paced and professional work environment. This candidate should be well-rounded in industrial, mechanical, and electrical components. Someone who has repair experience and knowledge of a broad range of complex facility systems. This position requires excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform complex technical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance, modification, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide variety of systems in a distribution center environment.
  • Performing maintenance duties such as planned preventative maintenance of facility and facilities equipment, maintenance of office equipment and furnishings, basic electrical projects, spot painting or cleaning, light construction, or exterior clean-up.
  • Provide electrical and/or other support for all facility systems and equipment
  • Demonstrate skills and experience in all phases of facility maintenance
  • Communicate with and maintain effective relationships with vendors and team members.
  • General building and office maintenance.
  • Provide support and/or cover for the Lead Technician(s) in their absence.
  • Other tasks as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Typically requires 3+ years of related experience.


Additional Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of maintenance/facility experience is preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in mechanical/HVAC, electrical, or a combination of both is preferred
  • 1+ years of experience with troubleshooting control systems
  • Generalist mechanical/facility experience in various warehouse or other work environments (basic knowledge/exposure to some or all of the following: electrical, millwright, fire safety, plumbing, building codes, health and safety, etc.) is preferred.
  • Knowledge and safe usage of various types of equipment in maintenance/facility trade (hand tools, power tools, conveyors, forklifts, pressure gauges, voltmeters, etc.)
  • 6+ months of experience utilizing Power Industrial Equipment as needed and maintain appropriate certifications. (i.e., cherry picker, reach truck, dock stocker and a powered pallet jack.)
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on facility systems.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and data entry with the ability to learn McKesson platforms and software.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; read and understand electrical schematics, with some understanding of the physical electrical and mechanical systems
  • Some knowledge with LOTO and OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to learn quickly and address issues as they arise during normal working hours or when on call
  • Ability to cover for and/or support the lead technician when required
  • Ability to communicate under normal conditions as well as during times of high-pressure situations
  • Dependable team player with a positive attitude. Willingness to complete a variety of small and large tasks or projects
  • Must be self-motivated and work without direct supervision with the desire to participate as a member of a multi-functional team
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly, work with hands, problem solve, and provide solutions
  • Desire to learn and grow within position and be open to coaching and feedback


Physical Requirements
  • Must be comfortable working at heights
  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day.
  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.
  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.
  • Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
  • May need to lift up to 100 pounds on occasion.
  • May need to work in refrigerated areas
  • Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.
  • Must be willing to work various hours in a 24/7 operational.
  • Includes standing, sitting, walking, general labor, ladder, scissor lift & fork truck use, climbing up to (4) story heights in a warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to carry and operate a laptop & handheld device.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$25.34 - $42.23
