We monetize billions of monthly music streams and have collected over millions in previously unclaimed revenue for artists and labels. Clients include Ice Spice, Future, JLo, City Girls, Slander, Marshmello, Don Diablo, Trippie Redd, Migos, and more.
SUMMARY:
The Accounting Clerk will support the Accounting Royalties team with a focus on processing royalties, advances, and expenses to ensure invoices are coded properly in a timely manner. This role will maintain the royalties accounting inbox, onboard all clients in the accounting system, and support with additional accounting tasks as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain royalties accounting inbox and provide timely and accurate responses to all inquiries
- Processing royalties, advances and expenses ensuring that invoices are coded properly in a timely manner
- Onboard and maintain all clients into accounting system
- Research and reconcile discrepancies and make corrections as needed
- Assist in month-end close processes
- Assist with ad hoc requests including but not limited to providing documentation for internal and external audits
- Liaise with other departments and gather relevant accounting information
- Assist with support requests for annual audit and tax returns
QUALIFICATIONS:- Must be based in Los Angeles
- High School Diploma and/or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- 1+ year of relevant work experience in Accounting or Finance
- Previous experience in Accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and business processes
- Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to have a strong sense of urgency and prioritization
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in NetSuite and Tipalti preferred
