Job Summary

The Accounting Manager with EdgeCo Holdings will be a member of the corporate Accounting & Finance team, reporting to the VP of Finance. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading daily and monthly closing processes at the parent company level. The successful candidate will have excellent GAAP knowledge with strong attention to detail. This position could also have exposure to more technical accounting concepts such as consolidations, purchase accounting, and footnotes.


Location: Hybrid to Pittsburgh, PA - company headquarters


Responsibilities

  • Manage the month-end close process, including review of staff work and transactional data.
  • Review and verify accuracy of journal entries, to include balance sheet reconciliations, allocations, accruals and prepaids.
  • Interpret financial statements and explain variances compared to prior reporting periods and the budget.
  • Understand relevant financial processes and make recommendations for streamlining and improvements.
  • Manage business processes that are tightly controlled and efficient.
  • Understanding of complex interest accruals on multiple lines of credit and loans receivable.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the enterprise-wide lease portfolio according to ASC842.
  • Lead the intercompany and allocations process, including assisting with consolidations and eliminations for reporting.
  • Participate in capitalization process and fixed assets.
  • Develop cross functional relationships to support various projects and initiatives.
  • Assist with chart of accounts maintenance and improvements.
  • Assist with department projects to include integration, testing, and data validation.
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting requests for multiple companies.
  • Assist in financial and other operational and regulatory audits by providing PBCs in a timely manner.


Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of progressive experience to include management experience
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • CPA license required
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other complex ERP system and Concur
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
