This is a full-time position based out of our offices in North Dallas. This territory covered by this role is the East Dallas County area (Dallas, Garland, Mesquite).

JOB SUMMARY

The Bilingual Membership Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for facilitating a robust community engagement strategy for the East Dallas County area, with a particular focus on building relationships with members of the community, volunteers, local community partners and service providers in an assigned geographical area. The Bilingual Membership Recruitment Coordinator will work closely with GSNETX membership staff to assist in the overall coordination of services and opportunities for girls and volunteers, to ensure adherence to the organizational mission and values.

The Bilingual Membership Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for executing tactics to increase awareness of and participation in Girl Scouting through use of a marketing sales campaign(s), generating leads to meet membership goals by converting prospects/securing new adult volunteers, new girl members, and community partnerships thus increasing overall Girl Scout troop membership growth.

This person is responsible for working cross-functionally and collaboratively to ensure all activities required for membership are completed and that membership conversion goals are reached.

The Bilingual Membership Recruitment Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining customer focus to provide excellent service to volunteers, caregivers and girls through the development of local administrative volunteers. This role executes strategic retention initiatives and works in partnership with retention staff and volunteers to achieve results. This person builds relationships with volunteers to empower, equip and support them to reach more girls in more ways with greater impact.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (This list may not include all the duties assigned)

The Bilingual Membership Recruitment Coordinator works closely with the GSNETX Membership Manager to collectively serve volunteers, community partners, and young people and works to:

Cultivate relationships across diverse communities to provide new opportunities for young people that are responsive to their cultures and identities. Provide continual education about these opportunities to staff and support community partners as they provide these opportunities to young people.

Serve as an advocate in the community to ensure that the needs of young people are a priority in the systems designed to support them and the broader community.

Conduct outreach, recruitment and screening for troop leaders, mentors, community partners, and other volunteers.

Conduct onboarding for troop leaders, mentors, community partners, and other volunteers.

Provide superb internal and external customer support to new members, troop leaders, mentors, community partners, volunteers, and staff to meet or exceed GSNETX organizational goals.

Conduct bilingual (Spanish)/bicultural) conversations with volunteers, community partners, and caregivers, estimated 25% of time.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience supporting inclusive community engagement efforts, ideally within the nonprofit sector. Community outreach and volunteer recruitment experience is highly desired.
  • Commitment to Mission: Genuine passion for the nonprofit sector and alignment with the organization's mission and values and committed to equity and learning.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with community members, particularly those from historically excluded groups. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment, collaborating with colleagues and community partners to achieve shared goals.
  • Technology Proficiency: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce is preferred.


Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing/Sales or related field, or 1-2 years experience in a sales/recruitment field preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years sales, marketing and/or recruiting, applicable customer service management and project management experience, or equivalent combination of education and practical work experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build authentic relationships with people from diverse racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and gender backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Experience with a volunteer workforce or membership organization is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and manage conflict.
  • Ability to work independently within the framework of the council's plan of work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrate and promote a climate of courtesy, respect and professionalism to coworkers, the volunteers served by this council, and others with whom this job puts them in contact.

  • Must complete and pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be able to travel within established geographic areas and council service centers, as necessary.
  • Must have reliable transportation, hold a valid drivers' license, and meet GSNETX driving record & automobile insurance requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends to accommodate the community and volunteers' schedules.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
