Project Assistant to Construction Manager


Job Details

We are seeking a diligent and organized Project Assistant to support our Construction Manager in overseeing various construction projects. The Project Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of projects by assisting in administrative tasks, coordinating project activities, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standard.


Responsibilities:


Administrative:

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation to include: file creation, contracts, permits, change orders, and buyer design documentation.
  • Supply maintenance for the model home and make necessary purchases related to construction.
  • Coordinate builder meetings and establish procedures based on current project needs.
  • Timely execution of rental reimbursements, permit deposits, billable hours and builder draw checks.
  • Management of various spreadsheets: task tracking, construction status and draw tracking.


Design:

  • Assist in the creation of design selections in Canva and communicate the latest buyer choices to the team.
  • Knowledge of interior design selections offered and regular updating of catalog.
  • Work with the construction manager to conduct research and obtain estimates for change orders.
  • Regular maintenance of the pricing catalog.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers as needed.


Construction:

  • Assist the construction manager in providing pertinent construction updates to builders.
  • Identifying and maintaining relevant construction information on Digs and communicating it to the team.
  • Collaboration of timelines with construction manager relating to being on time and on budget.

  • Effective and efficient communication.
  • Strong computer skills are helpful. Experience using DropBox, MS Office, Canva, Construction Software is a plus!
  • Ability to work effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Work experience in related industries would be helpful (Real Estate, Construction, Project Administrator).


Job Details:

  • Competitive salary at $30 per hour, 30-40 hours a week
