Other duties may be assignedOperational Excellence* Receives and completes daily work orders as directed.* Performs maintenance duties to the buildings, grounds, and equipment according to required specifications for safety and appearance.* Performs routine cleaning of building, floors, windows, restrooms, carpets, trash removal, grounds, sidewalks, and trash pick-up* Maintains the park area by trimming trees, clearing brush and landscaping the property as required.* Effectively and safely operates pole saw, table saws, band saws, drills, string trimmers, landscape blowers and other hand tools as required to get the job done.* Basic painting including picnic tables, trash cans and shelters* Ensures that all work performed is conducted in a safe and timely manner adhering to standards of cleanliness and effective equipment utilization.* Utilize the Rockford Park District's HRIS system for all HR and payroll-related requirements and to accurately clock in and out for all shifts.* Assists with delivery of supplies to various buildingsSafety/Inspection* Become thoroughly familiar with the Safety Manual contents.* Performs frequent routine safety checks on buildings, grounds, and equipment; files safety reports as required.* Maintain a working knowledge of all general and departmental - specific safety rules.* Inspect work areas (use checklists) for compliance with safe work practices and rules.Education/ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GEDCritical Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
