**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:**

This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the associate occupying this position. Associates will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor.

1) Efficiently process and prioritize tasks.

2) Attend to numerous types of guest requests, adhering to established delivery deadlines.

3) Deliver guest requests including cribs, rollaways, microwaves, pet amenities, flowers, and guest laundry. Assure working condition, cleanliness and good appearance of the items, meeting established hotel standards.

4) Respond to work orders received via Knowcross

5) Log radio calls and follow-up with Office Coordinators on completion.

6) Deep clean guest buildings including, hallways, staircases, elevators, courtyards, ice closets, linen closets, following the proper sequence of cleaning.

7) Heavy dusting, trash removal, vacuum, sweep, mop, clean walls, windows, clean and set-up fireplaces, wipe down and polish furniture, move and reposition furniture to the established floor plan in assigned areas.

8) Ensure proper levels of guest and cleaning supplies are maintained in linen closets and store rooms.

9) Deep clean guest rooms as assigned including: tubs, carpets, patios, walls, light fixtures, floors, furniture, windows.

10) Perform carpet care, shampoo and maintain free of spots as assigned.

11) Perform floor care, strip and wax and maintain appearance as assigned.

12) Safely operate Hostar equipment, placing in the designated areas at the start and completion of each shift.

13) Assist in cleaning up leaks and floods when necessary.

14) Place proper signage on spills and wet or flooded areas.

15) Place out-of-order signs on malfunctioning hardware or appliances.

16) Remove Food & Beverage items from courtyards and report to In-Room Dining.

17) Pack and deliver ice to ice closets.

18) Remain calm and courteous in demanding and difficult guest situations, resolving issues whenever possible and reporting to supervisor or manager.

19) Display work habits that promote accident prevention.

20) Adhere to health department sanitation and safety regulations.

21) Handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.

22) Ensure equipment is functioning properly, reporting maintenance needs to supervisor or manager.

23) Report maintenance needs via Hot SOS.

24) Maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.

25) Ensure security of guest room access and hotel property, including assigned keys and communication devices.

26) Follow lost and found protocols.

27) As occupancy requires, Level A and B House Attendants may be assigned to the preparation, cleaning and upkeep of Casa Elar, a 10,000 square foot on-site estate.

In addition to the above mentioned cleaning duties, House Attendants assigned to Casa Elar also wash dishes, clean fireplaces, touch-up library, parlor, and bar, patios and pool area.

The House Attendant will provide Forbes Five Star service with attention to detail, quality, and consistency. Maintains cleanliness throughout guest room buildings and back-of-the-house areas completing daily quota of work. Deep cleans guest rooms. Fill guest requests and deliver needed supplies to appropriate areas. Communicates via radio throughout shift, remaining alert and responding to orders that pertain to their designated area. This position provides the opportunity to select an appropriate leveling program based on quality and job knowledge.

**Desirable:**

1) Experience in a hospitality industry or equivalent.

2) Knowledge of proper chemical handling.

3) Basic ability to communicate in the English language.

4) Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
